So I am teaching summer school this month and I glanced down at the feet of one of the little girls in my class and what did I see? jellies!!!!!! (Is that what they are calling them this time around?) Maybe they have been "back" for awhile and I am just now noticing, but simply seeing a pair of those things makes me cringe! Dont' get me wrong, I sacrificed practical for fashion and wore several different pairs of them when I was in elementary school. But the memory of post-recess playground rocks combined with the sweat from a PLASTIC shoe is anything but pleasant. Do the moms of these kids remember the jellies of the past? And even if they don't, seriously, they are just not very attractive. Please excuse my rant - I am finished :)
Here are the small moments that make us a family - nowhere near perfect, because imperfect is much more fun!
